Late last night I decided to launch a flash based MP3 Player so that you can listen to songs (continuously) online without the need for an external player. The inline player shows up on the details page for search results, but also can be launched into it's own window for continuous play while searching for more songs.

There are some great features and complimentary services that I would like to build for the player (and the site in general), like the ability to create, save and share custom playlists, add the ability to share playlists that you find or create with friends on MySpace, Facebook, orkut, ect..., possibly add in a way to download or link to the mp3 from within player and possibly build a browser plugin to aid in creating playlists, bookmarking and playing songs you find out on the web.

I also want to thank the author of the mp3 player, Jeroen Wijering for creating such a geat piece of software and releasing under a Creative Commons liscence. The player looks great and the code is solid, I suggest taking a look at it if interested. Flash MP3 Player
